I stumbled on an interesting site called BlogShares where blogs are listed as stocks, and users can buy and sell shares of each blog. It’s like a stock exchange for blogs. Stock evaluation is based on links in and out of the blog, as well as share trade activity. Check it out!
21st Century Warfare
Recently I’ve been in a big Battlefield 1942 kick. A great mod for BF1942 out right now is called DesertCombat. The fine crew over at MFOTS has taken their BattleForEurope model and applied it to DesertCombat, creating 21st Century Warfare. The concept is that you sign up, and are placed in a division on either the Opposition or Coalition. Each side has their own command structure, and battles between the forces are applied to a map of the Middle East. It’s very addicting : )
4th of July
I plan on being in Pittsburgh for the 4th of July weekend, so I will be away until the 7th.
Everyone have a safe and happy 4th! : )
Raceline Radio moves stations
Raceline Radio, a Canadian based racing radio show, has switched nights and networks. They’re now on on Sunday nights. You can listen to them online at Mojo Radio AM640 here.
Mario on SpeedFreaks
Mario Andretti was on SpeedFreaks discussing his successful efforts bringing back the CART Road America race for the 2003 and 2004 season. It’s about 24 minutes into the radio broadcast. Definitely a great interview and a great race back in the mix. Thanks Mario! : )
New car in the Stable : )
After almost 2 years of research, test drives, and debate, I took delivery of a Satin Silver Metallic/Ebony/Navigation 2004 Acura TSX on the 11th from Lehigh Valley Acura. So now the stable stands at 2 : )
Another TSX Video
Colin over at ClubTSX.com posted another video, this time of the Ride and Drive event that Acura put on. Not only is that cool, but Paul Tracy was practicing there that day as well! The file is 54.4 MB and it is in Windows Media format.
Enjoy! 🙂
Interesting TSX Video
Over on ClubTSX.com Colin posted a video he took of the TSX in Hawaii, pretty cool : ) I decided to add a mirror for it here. The video is 26.3 MB and in Windows Media format.
TechNet Briefing
The TechNet Briefing yesterday was pretty good, although some of the things they mentioned about WiFi are up for some debate, namely certificates and how to use them. They then went though Upgrading to WinXP / OfficeXP, and automated installations. Unfortunately with both of these presentations, they enabled the use of Active Directory, which is on Windows Server 2000, not Windows NT4, so unfortunately some of the policy deployment items didn’t apply. All in all a good afternoon.
TechNet Briefing this afternoon.
I’m heading over to the Bethlehem Holiday Inn for this month’s TechNet briefing on WiFi security and Windows XP / Office XP Upgrade deployment. Plus I get a free T-Shirt 🙂 I’ll post the details tonight or tomorrow.
